Privacy statement

We handle your data with care and only collect what we need to help you. Here is how, in plain language.

1. Who are we?

Villa Fleuri is a trading name of Fleur bv, De Costerstraat 41, 3150 Wespelaar (Haacht), Belgium, company number 0897.596.329. You can reach us at info@villafleuri.be or on +32 16 60 49 76. We are the controller of your personal data.

2. Which data do we process?

  • Data you enter in a form: name, email address, phone number, town, your message and your choices (for example which bouquet, which date or which garden work).
  • For an order with delivery: the name and address of the recipient, or the funeral home or church. For funeral flowers also the name of the deceased and the ribbon text, if you give them.
  • Photos or plans you attach, for example inspiration photos for a wedding or photos of your garden.
  • Data you give us by email, by phone or in the shop if you become a customer.
  • Technical data needed to show the website securely, such as your IP address, browser and the time of your visit. This is processed by our hosting provider and not stored by us.

3. Why, and on what legal basis?

  • To handle, confirm and carry out your order or request: this is necessary to prepare or perform a contract at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You also give explicit agreement in the form.
  • To invoice and keep our accounts: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • To protect the website and forms against abuse and spam: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • We never send newsletters or advertising without your prior consent, and we never sell your data.

4. How long do we keep your data?

  • Requests that do not lead to an order: no longer than 2 years after the last contact.
  • Customer data: as long as needed for the order and aftercare, and then as long as the law requires. Invoices and accounting records are kept for 10 years.
  • Technical hosting logs: a few days.

5. Who do we share your data with?

We only share your data with partners who help us, and only what they need.

  • Cloudflare (website hosting and Turnstile spam protection). Cloudflare may process data outside the EU, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
  • Resend (sending the emails a form generates), under standard contractual clauses.
  • Our email provider, where the messages arrive in our mailbox.
  • For funeral flower deliveries: the funeral home or church, only what is needed to deliver correctly.
  • Our accountant, for invoicing.
  • Public authorities, only if the law requires us to.

6. Cookies and external services

This website uses no cookies and no trackers: no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no advertising networks. That is why you don’t see a cookie banner.

The Cloudflare Turnstile spam protection only runs on pages with a form and checks that a human is at the controls, without tracking cookies.

The Google reviews and rating on this site are fetched directly from Google when the website is built. Your browser does not connect to Google for this. Only when you click a link to Google (Maps) do you go to Google’s website.

Links to Instagram and Facebook are plain links. No social media buttons or scripts are loaded.

7. Security

The website runs entirely over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and uses strict security settings. Form data is not stored in a database on the website, but is emailed straight to us.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing, object to it and receive it in a portable format. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@villafleuri.be. We reply within one month.

Not happy with how we handle your data? You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.

9. Changes

We update this statement if the way we work changes. The date below shows the latest version.
